Health system announces fourth increase to minimum wage since September 2020 As part of Atrium Health’s commitment to offering market-competitive compensation and benefits programs, the health provider is investing an additional $12 million into teammate compensation, including an increase to the minimum wage at Atrium Health Navicent. Beginning Jan. 22, the new minimum wage at Atrium Health Navicent was increased to $14 per hour, nearly double the federally mandated $7.25 per hour.

January is Birth Defects Awareness Month In observance of Birth Defects Awareness Month, physicians at Atrium Health Navicent encourage expectant mothers and women of child-bearing age to become educated about steps they can take to prevent and detect birth defects. Birth defects — structural changes present at birth that can affect almost any part of the body — affect 1 in every 33 babies born in the United States each year and are the leading cause of infant deaths, accounting for 20 percent of all infant deaths, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
