Atrium Health Navicent Continues Program to Help Georgians Start Careers in Health Care

Applications will be accepted beginning Oct. 2 for an Atrium Health Navicent program that’s helping individuals jumpstart their health care careers. The Bridge to Success program, launched in central and south Georgia in 2023, helps selected applicants earn an associate degree by offering up to three years of up-front tuition and book assistance, with a maximum $5,250 tuition cost.

In observance of Pediatric Obesity Awareness Month this September, Atrium Health Navicent encourages parents to not only make healthy eating, sleep and exercise habits a priority for their children, but for the entire family to help set children on a path for a healthier future. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), 14.7 million children and adolescents in the U.S. suffer from obesity, and 19.7 percent of children are considered obese.

September is National Sickle Cell Awareness Month and Atrium Health Levine Children’s Beverly Knight Olson Children's Hospital honors the young patients who live with sickle cell disease by raising awareness about the genetic condition. Georgia ranks third in the nation with more than 10,000 individuals living with sickle cell disease, according to a 2021 Georgia State Senate Study Committee on Sickle Cell Anemia report.
