According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), 14.4 million children and adolescents in the U.S. suffer from obesity, and 19.3 percent of children are considered obese.

Health system announces increases to base pay, critical staffing pay and one-time patient care bonuses As part of Atrium Health’s commitment to offering market competitive compensation and benefits programs, the health system is investing $180 million into teammate compensation across the health system, providing annual merit pay increases two months early, resulting in increases to base pay and critical staffing pay, and one-time patient care bonuses for Atrium Health Navicent teammates. Additionally, Atrium Health Navicent is increasing its minimum wage to $12.50 per hour and also raising pay for key clinical roles such as nurses and respiratory therapists.

Vaccines have been approved for use in individuals aged 12 and older Public COVID-19 vaccination services are now available at two Atrium Health Navicent physicians’ office locations, the health system announced on Tuesday. Vaccines for adults and children aged 12 and older are available at the following locations: · Atrium Health Navicent Primary Care West Macon, 3780 Eisenhower Parkway, Macon · Atrium Health Navicent Children’s Care Downtown Macon, 744 First Street, Macon Vaccine-only appointments are available, but vaccines are also offered for eligible patients during their office visit.

The outpatient, one-time therapy is effective in preventing symptoms from worsening and helping prevent disease progression that might otherwise require hospitalization Atrium Health Navicent is now offering outpatient COVID-19 monoclonal antibody (mAb) treatments at five central Georgia locations. If administered within the first week of COVID-19 symptoms onset, the one-time therapy is highly effective in neutralizing the virus and preventing symptoms from worsening, helping prevent progression of the disease that might otherwise require hospitalization.
