Atrium Health Navicent Urges Caution when Handling Fireworks this Fourth of July Holiday

As our nation prepares to celebrate the Independence Day holiday with backyard barbeques and festive fireworks, Atrium Health Navicent physicians urge everyone to keep safety in mind. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, an estimated 9,700 people were treated for fireworks-related injuries in U.S. hospital emergency rooms in 2023, resulting in eight deaths.

Atrium Health Navicent to Hold Community Food Distribution

Atrium Health Navicent and its community partners will be holding a community food distribution drive-thru event in the parking lot of Atrium Health Navicent Primary Care West, 3780 Eisenhower Parkway in Macon on Friday, June 21, from 9 a.m. to noon. About 120,000 pounds of fresh fruit and vegetables hauled in on three tractor-trailer trucks will be distributed while supplies last and on a first-come, first-served basis.
