Atrium Health Navicent Peach and Atrium Health Levine Children’s Beverly Knight Olson Children’s Hospital Emergency Departments Earn National Recognition
Atrium Health Navicent Peach’s emergency department and the pediatric emergency department at Atrium Health Levine Children’s Beverly Knight Olson Children's Hospital are recipients of the 2025 Emergency Nurses Association Lantern Award. The award recognizes leadership, practice, education and advocacy that resulted in improved patient care and staff well-being.
Atrium Health Navicent Peach and Atrium Health Levine Children’s are among seven hospitals within Advocate Health who received the award. Six other Advocate Health hospitals hold active designations, which are valid for three years.
“Fewer than 100 emergency departments were selected for the Lantern Award this year, which makes achieving this designation extra special,” said Atrium Health Navicent Chief Nurse Executive Tracey Blalock. “Our nurses and other teammates always go above and beyond with patient care, and it’s wonderful to have that dedication recognized on a national scale.”
The Lantern Awards will be on display in each hospital’s emergency department. As recipients, Atrium Health Peach and Atrium Health Levine Children’s will be recognized in upcoming Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) publications, on the ENA website and during Emergency Nursing 2025, the association’s annual conference in New Orleans this September.
“These hospitals demonstrate excellence in practice, interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation that make their departments exceptional places for patients receiving care as well as for the staff working in them,” said ENA President Ryan Oglesby.
Founded in 1970, the ENA is the premier professional nursing association dedicated to defining the future of emergency nursing through advocacy, education, research, innovation and leadership. ENA advocates for patient safety, develops industry-leading practice standards and guidelines, and guides emergency health care public policy. ENA members have expertise in triage, patient care, disaster preparedness and all aspects of emergency care.
