As part of the August 2014 Arnold P. Gold Foundation Gold Humanism Honor Society induction ceremony, Mercer University SOM students were asked to select up to six residents to receive The Arnold P. Gold Foundation Humanism and Excellence in Teaching Award, based on their demonstrated commitment to teaching and compassionate treatment of patients and families, students and colleagues. Two outstanding resident educators from the Pediatrics Residency program at Atrium Health Navicent/Mercer University were selected, Igor Areinamo, MD and Dana Mayo, MD. Each award winner is presented with a certificate, a specially designed gold lapel pin and a monetary gift from The Gold Foundation. Congratulations to both of you!
