Diagnostics Cowles Clinic, Atrium Health Navicent Baldwin has been awarded a three-year term of accreditation in mammography as the result of a recent review by the American College of Radiology (ACR). Mammography is a specific type of imaging test that uses a low-dose X-ray system to examine breast tissue to aid in the early detection and diagnosis of breast cancer.

Don Faulk Teen Volunteer Scholarship Presented to Three Local Students On Wednesday, August 14, Atrium Health Navicent presented the 2019 Don Faulk Teen Volunteer Scholarship to three teen volunteers. The following recipients each received awards: $1,000 scholarship - Garrett Patterson Howard High School graduate (Bibb County), planning to study pre-med at Georgia State University 2,499 hours of service with 4 Main at The Medical Center, Navicent Health) $500 scholarship - Morgan Brown Covenant Academy graduate (Bibb County), planning to study nursing at Georgia Southern University 291 hours of service with General Pediatrics at Atrium Health Navicent Beverly Knight Olson Children's Hospital $500 scholarship - Danielle Brown Covenant Academy graduate (Peach County), planning to study nursing at Georgia College & State University 191 hours of service with General Pediatrics and the Pediatric Emergency Center at Atrium Health Navicent Beverly Knight Olson Children's Hospital The scholarships are awarded to students who have volunteered their time at Atrium Health Navicent through the health system's Teen Volunteer Program.

Procedure Utilizes Heart's Natural Conduction System to Restore Rhythm The Medical Center, Navicent Health (MCNH) is again leading the way in innovative heart care, becoming the first hospital in the region to perform His-bundle pacing (HBP) procedures. Traditionally, pacemakers are implanted with a lead (wire) positioned to deliver the electrical impulses to the heart's right ventricle to regulate a slow or irregular heart rhythm.

AACVPR Recertification Awards Atrium Health Navicent's Commitment to Quality Heart Care Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation, Atrium Health Navicent (CRNH), a rehabilitation service offered through The Medical Center, Navicent Health for heart patients, recently received recertification status from the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR). Through education, counseling and exercise, CRNH helps patients with, or at risk for, cardiovascular disease reach their optimal level of wellness and self-sufficiency.
