Atrium Health Navicent is helping Georgians who want to start their health care careers through its new Bridge to Success program. This program helps selected applicants earn an associate degree by offering up to three years of up-front tuition and book assistance, with a maximum $5,250 tuition cost.

Atrium Health Navicent Urges Medicaid Patients to Take Steps to Maintain Their Coverage

Start by updating your contact information to verify your eligibility Georgia has begun the process of checking eligibility for all Medicaid and PeachCare for Kids members this month in what’s called a “redetermination process.” Atrium Health Navient physicians urge all Medicaid and PeachCare for Kids members to update their contact information at gateway.ga.gov as soon as possible, and remain informed about their individual redetermination process and timeline. “Access to Medicaid and PeachCare for Kids benefits is vital for the health of more than 2.7 million Georgians. Atrium Health Navicent is committed to partnering with the community to help these patients avoid any interruptions in benefits or health care,” said Atrium Health Navicent President Delvecchio Finley. “If you’re currently a Medicaid recipient or if you’re a parent or guardian for a PeachCare for Kids member, please don’t delay in updating your contact information so you can be reached during this redetermination period.” Before the COVID-19 pandemic, eligibility for Medicaid and PeachCare for Kids members was checked annually.

Atrium Health Navicent Welcomes First Tax Day Baby

Today at 8:14 a.m. a Macon family welcomed baby John Thomas Cote into the world, and he was recognized as the first baby born on April 18th “Tax Day” at Atrium Health Navicent The Medical Center. As this year’s Tax Day Baby, John was awarded $1,529 for his Path2College 529 Plan to help him achieve his future educational goals. “We are both teachers and we value higher education,” said John’s mother, Jessica Arnold. “This is remarkable and thank you.” The hospital and the state of Georgia’s Path2College 529 Plan partner each year to raise awareness about the importance of saving for college and financial planning, along with the advantages of saving in the Path2College 529 Plan. “We are excited to help John jump-start his college savings with this contribution, and we hope that many more families with young children will use tax time to begin planning for their children’s education,” said Georgia Student Finance Commission President Lynne Riley.
Harrington House at Carlyle Place Maintains Five-Star Quality Rating

Harrington House, the skilled nursing center at Carlyle Place, a Life-Plan Community of Atrium Health Navicent, has maintained its “Five-Star Quality Rating” from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). The Five-Star Quality Rating System was established to help consumers, their families and caregivers in comparing nursing homes by assigning ratings of between one and five stars.

Congestive heart failure and diabetes disproportionally affect Black individuals Congestive heart failure and diabetes are two diseases that disproportionately affect Black individuals, causing devastating health effects. In conjunction with National Minority Health Month, Atrium Health Navicent has announced an expansion of Atrium Health Navicent Healthy Communities’ Congestive Heart Failure and Diabetes Disease Management programs into Baldwin and Peach counties.
