During down time at home, I can be found splitting couch space with my dog and reading a good novel or watching Turner Classic Movies.
What I like about the program: The faculty and staff are so invested in the professional and personal growth of residents. I feel like I could go to anyone on our team with anything and be received with encouragement and support.

What I like about the program:Having grown up in Macon, GA I enjoy the aspect of being able to practice medicine and provide the highest quality of healthcare to members of my own community. I really enjoy how supportive and welcoming all the residents and faculty are. They make you feel like you are apart of a family and this atmosphere fosters the ability to build strong long lasting relationships with the entire hospital staff. The program and attending's provide excellent teaching that allows you the ability to acquire a wide fund of knowledge during your training.

Hobbies/Interests: I really love to spend time with my husband and kids. We travel together as a family as much as possible. I love watching my kids compete in their various sporting events. I really love to read and bake…junk food mostly.
What I like about the program: The Family Medicine Residency Program appealed to me for many reasons. The Attending physicians have a wealth of knowledge and experience. The upper-level residents are very kind and are committed to both learning and teaching. Basically, meeting the people involved in this program was like meeting a new family.

What I like about the program: So, my first job out of high school was as a clinical tech at Navicent where I worked for 7 years. I was so impressed by the Family Medicine program faculty, residents and fellows whom I observed during my time here that I decided to attend medical school and become a doctor. When it came time for residency, there was no other facility in the country I preferred to be at more than here. I truly feel like I'm back home.

What do you like about the program?: My favorite part about the Atrium Health Navicent Family Medicine Program is how welcoming and encouraging everyone has been. It truly has a family atmosphere. The program provides the diversity I was looking for and an integrative medicine curriculum which is not provided at many programs.

What do you like about the program: As a Mercer student, I have spent a lot of time working with those involved in this program since the first year of medical school. No matter what stage of learning I have been at, the faculty and staff have made me feel at home and part of the family. The program focuses on broad education and care of the patient as a whole. I could not think of a better place to train!

What do you like about the program: I like how the residents are close inside and outside of work, and are very supportive of one another. The attending physicians are extremely friendly, approachable, and willing to teach. The opportunity to care for a diverse rural and urban patient population in Central Georgia at the largest hospital in the region is an extremely enriching learning experience.
