physicians-at-navicent-health-encourage-new-year-s-safety From Fireworks Injuries to COVID Prevention, Celebrate Safely MACON, GA (Tuesday, December 29, 2020) – According to a report from the Consumer Product Safety Commission, an estimated 7,300 people sought emergency care for injuries related to fireworks, including sparklers and bottle rockets, in 2019. Children under five years of age were the most likely to be treated in emergency rooms for firework-related injuries, and teens ages 15-19 were the second most likely.
