Hospital is one of eight in Georgia recognized by the American Nurses Association program Atrium Health Navicent Peach has received the prestigious Pathway to Excellence Program designation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), a subsidiary of the American Nurses Association. Pathway to Excellence is the premier designation for healthy work environments and recognizes health care organizations that demonstrate a commitment to establishing the foundation of a healthy workplace for staff. “Supporting our nursing staff with professional development opportunities, a safe work environment and ensuring they have supportive leadership dedicated to their success has a direct impact on how they interact with our patients, leading to the highest quality of patient care,” said Atrium Health Navicent Chief Nurse Executive Tracey Blalock. “Congratulations to Atrium Health Navicent Peach on achieving this designation!” Atrium Health Navicent Peach is one of eight Pathway to Excellence designated hospitals in Georgia and one of 215 in the nation.

Initiative to reduce blood clots in patients has been recognized by The Georgia Hospital Association Atrium Health Navicent has been presented with a Georgia Hospital Association Patient Safety and Quality Award for the project, “Preventing VTE.” The project won third place for improving patient safety in a hospital with more than 300 beds. The annual Patient Safety and Quality Awards recognize Georgia health care organizations for achievement in reducing the risk of medical errors and improving patient safety and medical outcomes.

The Navicent Health Foundation named Lily Kinsey, 3, as Atrium Health Navicent Beverly Knight Olson Children’s Hospital’s 2024 Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) champion during a ceremony Monday. As a newborn, Lily was diagnosed with ABO Incompatibility, a condition in which a baby’s blood type is different from the birthing parent’s blood type.
