Phil Wheeler, MBA

Executive Team- Phil Wheeler Atrium Health Navicent The Medical Center

Phil Wheeler, MBA, is the interim Chief Financial Officer for Georgia and joined Atrium Health Floyd as the Chief Financial Officer in May 2022.

He began his career as an industrial engineer after graduating from the University of Cincinnati. He then returned to Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he earned a Master of Business Administration with a focus on finance and strategy.

After graduating, Wheeler joined Deloitte's health care consulting practice before working for several hospitals. His previous experience includes Atlanta Medical Center where he was Chief Financial Officer; Kaiser Permanente in Maryland; Mercy Health in Ohio; University Hospital in Ohio; and Highmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Pennsylvania.
