Cynthia C. Busbee, MBA, CSSBB
Cynthia C. Busbee, MBA, CSSBB, serves as Vice President, Governance and Organizational Affairs for the Georgia Area of Atrium Health. A member of the Georgia Area leadership team, she is responsible for governance strategy, board relations, executive operations, and key strategic initiatives that advance Atrium Health's mission across hospitals, clinics, and community partnerships throughout Georgia.
With more than two decades of leadership experience at Atrium Health, Cynthia has played a pivotal role in strengthening organizational alignment, executive governance, strategic communications, public affairs, and community engagement. Throughout her career, she has remained focused on connecting patients, families, and caregivers with high-quality healthcare services through collaborative partnerships, innovative initiatives, and community-centered strategies that improve health outcomes and expand access to care.
A graduate of Leadership Georgia and an active advocate for economic, educational, and community development across Central Georgia, Cynthia serves on numerous civic, nonprofit, workforce development, and educational boards. She is a past President of the Downtown Macon Rotary Club and former Rotary Assistant District Governor. Her contributions have been recognized by Macon Magazine as a "5 Leaders Under 40" honoree, and she was named Wesleyan College's Community Service Alumna of the Year.
Cynthia earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communications (Marketing) and Finance and her Master of Business Administration from Wesleyan College. She is also a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt, bringing expertise in process improvement and organizational performance.
A lifelong resident of Central Georgia, Cynthia lives in Macon with her family. Outside of work, she enjoys yoga, international travel, and cooking.
