Atrium Health Navicent Women’s Care offers customized support starting the day you find out you’re pregnant, or the day you realize you need help getting there. We’re here for you and your baby at every step – from pregnancy to childbirth and as you learn your new life together.
In addition to infertility support and high-risk pregnancy specialists, Atrium Health Navicent has exceptional care for both moms and babies. No matter where you are on your journey, we’re here to guide and support you along the way.
Maternity and obstetrics services
As our patient, you get care from a whole team, including specially trained obstetricians, high-risk specialists, lactation consultants and more. Our services include:
- Prenatal care. This includes routine prenatal visits, pregnancy and nutrition counseling, and expert support through labor, delivery and postpartum.
- Infertility and reproductive lab services. When you need help getting pregnant, we offer infertility evaluations, ultrasounds and monitoring.
- Maternal fetal medicine. Atrium Health Navicent offers more for complex and high-risk pregnancies than any other provider in Central Georgia. With a team specialized in maternal fetal medicine – plus advanced technologies and treatments – you’ll get the diagnosis, care and peace of mind you deserve.
- Childbirth classes and facility tours. Feel informed and supported before your baby is born, with maternity classes and by touring your birth center.
Newborn care
When you choose Atrium Health Navicent Women’s Care, your baby gets seamless access to Atrium Health Navicent Beverly Knight Olson Children’s Hospital. As the region’s only dedicated children’s hospital, it’s home to specially trained neonatologists and the most advanced NICU in the region, if additional support is needed after birth.
Atrium Health Navicent also has pediatricians, specialists and the region's only dedicated children’s emergency room to keep your baby healthy as they grow up.
Maternity classes and tours
Maternity classes help you feel better prepared for childbirth and life with a new baby. The best time to take classes is between 24 and 36 weeks of pregnancy. See our maternity class schedule, and sign up for classes on topics like preparing for delivery, breastfeeding basics and newborn safety. You can also schedule a tour of your birth center to see where you’ll deliver and learn about their services.
Postpartum support
Maternity care is so much more than pregnancy and the day your baby is born. As you navigate life with a newborn, we’re here to help you heal and feel supported.
Lactation consultations
When you need breastfeeding help, our breastfeeding experts are here to support you, offer advice and answer questions.
- Before baby arrives
Virtual breastfeeding classes are available for interested pregnant women and their partners. The live, 2-hour class offers tips and techniques for how breastfeeding works, having a successful breastfeeding experience and where to find help if you need it. - In the hospital
If you’re breastfeeding, you might have a lactation consultant visit you in the hospital after delivery. They can answer questions and offer initial guidance on latch, positioning and more, as well as tell you about resources that can help once you’ve gone home. - From the comfort of home
