To help patients, families and the hospitals that serve them, the American Hospital Association (AHA) has compiled key resources to enhance educational efforts and raise awareness around the important issue of advance directives. Advance directives are documents written in advance of serious illness that state your choices for health care, or name someone to make those choices, if you become unable to make decisions.

ASHRM's "Patient Safety Toolkit"

The ASHRM Foundation offers a free multimedia tool kit, "Communicating Your Commitment to Patient Safety." This unique, easy-to-share resource was developed for patients, their families and caregivers. Food Fitness First Nutrition Site

A comprehensive nutrition and health information web site. Developed by experienced, Registered Dietitians. Nutrition and health materials are available to help one progress to a healthier life. These materials were designed by professionals and include menus, meal plans, diets and information sheets for hundreds of health conditions.

Includes a full-text, illustrated medical encyclopedia and a directory section where you can locate a medical specialist. It also provides access to drug information, clinical trials, and other directories. Information is listed alphabetically so spelling of medical terms isn't a problem.
