Atrium Health Navicent Baldwin's Emergency Room treats patients 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. Our large Emergency Room has 20 exam rooms, including 4 trauma rooms. Upon patient's arrival, a medical screening examination is completed by an emergency room provider (MD, PA, and/or NP) within 10 minutes of their arrival. A team of physicians and mid-level providers, experienced Emergency/Critical Care nurses and other specially trained ancillary staff are available at all times.

Upon arrival at the Emergency Room, you will be seen by a triage nurse who will perform a preliminary evaluation of your condition. If your condition is determined to be critical or life threatening, you will be taken into the Emergency Room treatment area immediately. If your condition is non-critical, you may be referred to the to the waiting room until a bed is available. If your condition worsens or you have a new complaint while waiting, please notify the triage nurse immediately.
If you decide to leave before seeing the physician, you will be billed for the services performed.
