Atrium Health Navicent Partners with Macon Housing Authority, Macon-Bibb Economic Opportunity Council Inc. to Provide COVID-19 Vaccines

Mobile Team Takes Vaccines to Residents

As part of a commitment to help provide equitable access to healthcare, Atrium Health Navicent has partnered with the Macon-Bibb Economic Opportunity Council Inc. and the Macon Housing Authority to provide COVID-19 vaccines.

“At this phase in the pandemic, it’s especially vital that we bridge barriers to provide vaccine access to individuals who may have difficulty traveling to a vaccine site,” said Atrium Health Navicent President and CEO Delvecchio Finley. “We’re thankful for community partnerships which extend our reach, improve vaccine access and ensure that anyone who wishes to receive a vaccine can be afforded that opportunity.”

Atrium Health Navicent’s mobile vaccine team provided vaccines at Bowden Homes, Grove Park and Davis Homes this week.

“Once again, Macon Housing Authority is proud to partner with Atrium Health Navicent and the Macon-Bibb Economic Opportunity Council (EOC) to make COVID vaccines available to hundreds of MHA and EOC customers,” said Macon Housing Authority CEO Mike Austin. “Through the collaboration, Atrium Health Navicent will be able to deliver and administer this important vaccine to many individuals and families.”

The mobile vaccine team also has been visiting the housing authority’s senior towers since February, providing COVID-19 protection to senior residents.

“The Macon-Bibb Economic Opportunity Council Inc. is excited about our partnership with Atrium Health Navicent to bring vaccines to MHA sites,” said Macon-Bibb County Economic Opportunity Council CEO Sarita Hill.

Atrium Health Navicent’s public vaccination services are also available by appointment at the following locations:
