As a community, not-for-profit hospital, Navicent Health faces many challenges. Rapidly developing medical technology, reductions and changes in government funding for health services, and increasing amounts of indigent care add up to great expense, to name a few. The hospital receives less than 2% of its budget through tax dollars. In order for Navicent Health to remain a leader in the medical community, stay on the cutting edge, renovate and expand existing services, and provide care to all members of the community, continuing support from the community is needed.
Funds received by Medcen Community Health Foundation Navicent Health are not used for the hospital's operating expenses but go toward capital projects, purchase of new equipment, medical research, and education.
How You Benefit From Giving
The personal satisfaction of knowing you have helped to save or improve someone's life is the most rewarding aspect of giving to Medcen Community Health Foundation. Your gift also offers you the security of knowing you have made it possible for your family and friends to have access to high quality medical care should they need it. Since all gifts to Medcen Community Health Foundation are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law, your contribution has an added advantage of reducing your taxable income.
Foundation donors receive recognition in hospital and Medcen publications and are invited to special activities sponsored by the Foundation, as well as, the hospital.

Memorial and Honor Gifts . . . are an important fundraising activity and a service to our donors. In addition to acknowledging the gift to the donor, we send a note to the family of the deceased for memorial gifts, or to the person being honored. These gifts provide a meaningful and helpful way to express concern for someone or appreciation for a kindness or service. The amount of the gift is not shared with the family or the honoree.
Special Events… Special events are an exciting way for Medcen to forward our mission while raising necessary dollars for Hospital programs and services throughout the year. From golf tournaments to telethons, we're sure to have something to get you involved!
Sustained Giving . . . comes from many loyal supporters that make annual gifts to the foundation in support of our many charitable programs. Gifts of $100 or more qualify donors for membership into the 1895 Society supporting hospital projects, Hospice Partners supporting Atrium Health Navicent Hospice Pine Pointe at Hospice of Central Georgia, and the Building Block Society supporting our Children's Hospital.
