Atrium Health Navicent Continues Program to Help Georgians Start Careers in Health Care

Applications will be accepted beginning Oct. 2 for an Atrium Health Navicent program that’s helping individuals jumpstart their health care careers. The Bridge to Success program, launched in central and south Georgia in 2023, helps selected applicants earn an associate degree by offering up to three years of up-front tuition and book assistance, with a maximum $5,250 tuition cost.

To be eligible, applicants must have a high school degree, but not completed a college degree. While enrolled in the Bridge to Success program and working on an associate degree, participants will be hired by Atrium Health Navicent to work in a full-time position. Participants must be able to manage both a work and school schedule, and be willing to work full-time while participating in the program.

Bridge to Success seeks to help create a pipeline of trained workers to fill critical job roles in the health care field, while also investing in the financial well-being of our community. The program’s cohorts have included high school graduates from across central Georgia who are studying for careers in nursing, sonography, physical and occupational therapy, radiology, cardiovascular technology, and more.

“We are excited to see the interest this program has generated from students looking for an entryway into a health care career,” said Akilah Griffin, Advocate Health’s talent acquisition lead for Georgia who supports Atrium Health Navicent. “We look forward to offering more students this important on-the-job experience while they pursue their degrees.

Bridge to Success applications will be accepted Oct. 2 to Oct. 15. Selected applicants will begin work in the program’s third cohort in November. Applicants must submit an essay and professional recommendation.
