The Community is Invited to Celebrate Dairy Queen’s Miracle Treat Day with a Blizzard to Support Atrium Health Navicent Beverly Knight Olson Children’s Hospital

Buying a Blizzard® at participating central Georgia Dairy Queens® on Thursday, July 28, will do more than just treat your taste buds. The 18th annual Miracle Treat Day® will benefit Atrium Health Navicent Beverly Knight Olson Children's Hospital, a Children's Miracle Network (CMN) Hospital®.

“If you’ve been craving a cool treat to beat the summer heat, order a Blizzard on Thursday to help support the 46,000 children from across Georgia who receive medical treatment at Beverly Knight Olson Children’s Hospital each year,” said Renee Bryan, Children’s Miracle Network coordinator for Atrium Health Navicent Beverly Knight Olson Children's Hospital.

“We are thankful for the community’s generosity and local Dairy Queens’ support of Miracle Treat Day each year, as 100 percent of the funds raised throughout central Georgia benefit children treated at our hospital.”

At least $1 per Blizzard purchased nationwide on Thursday will be donated to CMN Hospitals. Miracle Treat Day is one of CMN’s largest, single-day fundraising events. All donations remain local and benefit patients by funding critical treatments, health services and pediatric medical equipment.

Last year, Macon area Dairy Queen stores raised $122,261.52. Dairy Queen of Gray, located at 315 West Clinton Street, was awarded the 2021 CMN Miracle Maker Award to recognize the franchise raising $94,555 on Miracle Treat Day in 2021 and other fundraising efforts to support Atrium Health Navicent Beverly Knight Olson Children’s Hospital.

To help celebrate Miracle Treat Day, participants are encouraged to use #MiracleTreatDay on social media and invite others to join them in visiting a participating Dairy Queen location on Thursday. To find a participating local Dairy Queen, visit www.miracletreatday.com.

Since 1984, Dairy Queen has raised more than $150 million for CMN hospitals. Donations have supported research and training, purchased equipment and paid for uncompensated care, all to save and improve the lives of children.
