Navicent Health to Host Annual ""Mammo Marathon""
Breast cancer is a leading cause of cancer-related death among women in the U.S. and affects those of every ethnicity and socioeconomic background. According to the American Cancer Society, one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. An estimated 276,480 women and an estimated 2,620 men are expected to be diagnosed with breast cancer this year.
Although these statistics seem dire, improving treatments and early detection will allow many of these patients to become breast cancer survivors. A mammogram is the first line of defense against breast cancer, a key player in the early detection and treatment of breast cancer. Navicent Health offers the latest mammography technology, including 3D mammography backed by Profound AI, proven for faster, more accurate detection of breast cancer.

No appointment is necessary, this is a walk-in event. Patients will be billed as they normally would with a scheduled mammogram appointment. A limited number of grants for screening mammography are available for qualifying uninsured or underinsured patients. Please call 478-633-7020 to check grant eligibility.
