Navicent Health and Hospital Authority of Monroe County Announce Partnership

MACON, GA (Tuesday, May 17, 2016) - The Hospital Authority of Monroe County and Atrium Health Navicent have agreed to a management relationship that will allow Atrium Health Navicent to assume management control over Monroe County Hospital, subject to the Attorney General's approval and the two hospitals finalizing and executing a joint venture related to outpatient imaging in Forsyth, Ga.

It is anticipated that Atrium Health Navicent's official role with Monroe County Hospital will begin in June of 2016, but interaction between the two organizations is already underway. Atrium Health Navicent and Monroe County Hospital are excited about the prospects for their new relationship and the value that it will bring to the community of Forsyth, Monroe County and the surrounding area.
