Harrington House at Carlyle Place Maintains Five-Star Quality Rating

Harrington House, the skilled nursing center at Carlyle Place, a Life-Plan Community of Atrium Health Navicent, has maintained its “Five-Star Quality Rating” from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

The Five-Star Quality Rating System was established to help consumers, their families and caregivers in comparing nursing homes by assigning ratings of between one and five stars. Nursing homes with five stars are considered to have “much above average” quality, according to CMS.

Harrington House has maintained its top-quality rating from CMS for more than six consecutive years.

Harrington House’s overall rating was based on the facility’s health inspections, including infection control and compliance with Medicare and Medicaid regulations; staffing levels, such as hours spent with residents each day; and quality measures, such as the number of residents in pain or up-to-date on flu shots.

“As our nation’s 73 million Baby Boomers age, access to top-quality nursing centers becomes even more critical. From the beginning, Carlyle Place has been dedicated to continually providing service to all our residents in such a manner that exceeds their expectations,” said Troy Cannaday, Carlyle Place executive director. “I am proud of the energy and effort our health care team places in achieving high standards, such as the five-star rating. For us, it is not about simply checking boxes, it is about changing lives.”

Carlyle Place offers 226 independent living garden homes and apartments, 29 personal care residences, 26 memory care residences and 40 skilled nursing residences to aid residents as they navigate the various stages of senior living. If medically necessary, independent and personal care residents may be admitted to Harrington House for more advanced care.

Located on a 58-acre campus, Carlyle Place is central Georgia’s only life-plan community. Carlyle Place earned a third consecutive Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRC) accreditation in 2021 and is a 2022 Choice Award recipient.
