Georgia Society of Healthcare Marketing and Public Relations Recognizes Target Award Winners

Atrium Health Navicent Earns Two Target Awards in Statewide Contest

MACON, GA (Tuesday, August 2, 2016) - The Georgia Society for Healthcare Marketing and Public Relations (GSHMPR) awarded its annual healthcare marketing and public relations awards during the 21st Anniversary Target Awards Luncheon at the Ritz Carlton Lodge at Reynolds Plantation on June 30, 2016. Atrium Health Navicent received two awards in this statewide contest for its marketing efforts.

Atrium Health Navicent received the Silver Target Award in the “Total Advertising Campaign” category for its 2015 “Kindness” campaign, and the Silver Target Award in the “Annual Report” category for the health system's 2014 Report to Our Community. The Atrium Health Navicent brand was launched on September 3, 2014.

“We are incredibly proud of our marketing department and the success of our kindness campaign. We are pleased that their efforts and expertise have been recognized among their peers from across the state through the annual Target Awards,” said Dr. Ninfa M. Saunders, President and CEO of Atrium Health Navicent.

Entries in this year's competition were judged by the New England Society for Healthcare Communications and were judged based on creativity, layout and design, functionality, message effectiveness, production quality and overall appeal. Georgia hospitals submitted entries in 26 various public relations, marketing, design and advertising categories ranging from Social Media Marketing to Print Advertising.

“We are thrilled that an outside agency of our peers has acknowledged the efforts of our entire marketing team as we have established our health system as “a place where kindness happens every day.” The name Atrium Health Navicent embodies our mission to navigate the patient to health and wellness while keeping the patient at the center of all that we do. Our physicians and clinicians achieve this mission with kindness, and our marketing team has been able to clearly communicate the quality of care delivery that we provide,” said Cyndey Costello Busbee, Assistant Vice President of Corporate Communications and Business Development for Atrium Health Navicent.
