Carlyle Place Welcomes New Executive Director

Carlyle Place is Atrium Health Navicent’s award-winning life-plan community

Carlyle Place, a Life-Plan Community of Atrium Health Navicent, is proud to welcome Troy Cannaday as executive director. Cannaday comes to Carlyle Place after serving as interim executive director at a life plan community in Morgantown, North Carolina. He credits his love for working with seniors to a strong relationship with his grandparents, and helping elderly neighbors in his youth.

“I am excited to join the Carlyle family and look forward to creating memories as I work with residents, staff and leadership to solidify Carlyle Place as the very best life plan community in Georgia,” Cannaday said. “Carlyle Place is a vibrant community, I would encourage folks over 60 years of age in central Georgia to come take a look or another look, if you have been here before. Come experience the energy, kindness and hospitality of Carlyle Place.” Cannaday’s career in senior housing includes leadership positions at properties across the country spanning more than two decades. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Therapeutic Recreation with a minor in Gerontology from Lake Superior State University, and a Master of Business Administration degree from Indiana Wesleyan University.

“Troy has a proven track record of building resident satisfaction and staff engagement to assure our residents have the very best in retirement living,” said Atrium Health Navicent CEO of Post Acute Services Elbert McQueen. “We are thrilled to welcome him to Carlyle Place as our new executive director.”

Since 2001, Carlyle Place has been dedicated to the health and well-being of its residents. Located on a 58-acre campus, central Georgia’s only life-plan community offers 226 independent living garden homes and apartments, 29 personal care residences, 26 memory care residences, and 40 skilled nursing residences. The community provides security, stability and support for residents to successfully navigate the various stages of senior living. Carlyle Place earned a third consecutive Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRC) accreditation in 2021 and is a 2020 Choice Award recipient.
