Atrium Health Navicent Life Plan Community Recognized for Employee and Resident Engagement

Holleran, the premier research and consulting organization offering employee and resident engagement benchmarks to senior living communities across the country, has announced its 2020 Choice Community Award winners.

Carlyle Place, Navicent Health – the region’s first life plan community – is among the 2020 award winners. The results are based on Holleran’s annual resident satisfaction survey, and Carlyle Place exceeding national benchmarks for resident engagement and satisfaction. Award-winning campuses are in the top 15th percentile of all campuses in Holleran’s massive benchmark.

“Our teammates provide exceptional care and services for residents on a daily basis. This award recognizes those teammates for their efforts and is a testament to how Carlyle Place, Navicent Health is working to improve residents’ health and wellness, elevate hope and advance healing for all,” said Atrium Health Navicent President and CEO Delvecchio Finley.

Residents at Carlyle Place, Navicent Health are provided numerous opportunities to become involved with campus life and influence decisions made by the community’s management. A resident advisory council, made up of nine elected members, serves as a liaison between residents and management. Additional resident committees work closely with staff in areas including buildings and grounds, dining and marketing.

Wanda Atkinson, a native Maconite who watched when Carlyle Place, Navicent Health was built said she knew for years that the facility had a great reputation before she moved in last March.

“It is no surprise to me that this survey rated Carlyle Place so high. It’s a great place to be,” Atkinson said. “They really took care of us during this COVID pandemic.”

Since 2001, Carlyle Place has been dedicated to the health and well-being of its residents. Located on a beautiful 58-acre campus, Carlyle Place, Navicent Health offers 226 independent living garden homes and apartments, 29 personal care residences, 26 memory care residences, and 40 skilled nursing residences. The community provides security, stability and support for residents to successfully navigate the various stages of senior living.

“This year has been exceptionally challenging within the senior living industry – which makes the recipients of Choice Community Award all that much more extraordinary,” said Michele Holleran, Founder and CEO of Holleran. “The Choice Community recipients have emerged from the pandemic in spite of the odds, finding creative ways to engage both residents and employees.”
