Breast Care Center, Navicent Health Accredited by American College of Surgeons
Designation is Highest Honor from National Consortium of Breast Centers
MACON, GA (Wednesday, November 18, 2020) – The National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC,) a quality program of the American College of Surgeons (ACS) has granted three-year accreditation to Breast Care Center, Navicent Health (BCCNH). To achieve voluntary NAPBC accreditation, BCCNH demonstrated compliance with the NAPBC standards that look at a center’s leadership, clinical services, research, community outreach, professional education and quality improvement. Breast centers like BCCNH seeking NAPBC accreditation undergo a site visit every three years.

- A multidisciplinary team approach to coordinate the best treatment options.
- Information on clinical trials and new treatment options.
- Genetic counseling.
- Patient centered services including psycho-social support.
- A survivorship care plan that documents the care each patient receives and seeks to improve cancer survivor’s quality of life.
BCCNH is also a National Consortium of Breast Centers’ “Certified Quality Breast Center of Excellence” since 2013.
