Atrium Health Navicent Partners with Community Organizations to Provide Baldwin County COVID-19 Vaccinations at Saturday Event
Vaccinations were provided at Walter B. Williams Park
Atrium Health Navicent partnered with Overview Incorporated, the Macon-Bibb County Economic Opportunity Council and the Middle Georgia Community Action Agency to provide COVID-19 vaccinations at a Saturday pop-up event in Milledgeville.
Several hundred people attended the event at Walter B. Williams Park, receiving free food, water, diapers, masks and personal items. Atrium Health Navicent teammates provided COVID-19 vaccines to interested individuals.
“Our mobile team stands ready to take public vaccination services to neighborhoods, senior living facilities, events and other locations where we can reach those who have not yet obtained life-saving COVID-19 protection,” said Atrium Health Navicent President and CEO Delvecchio Finley. “We thank Overview Incorporated, the Macon-Bibb County Economic Opportunity Council and the Middle Georgia Community Action Agency for their partnership in helping us to provide public vaccination services at Saturday’s Baldwin County event.”
Atrium Health Navicent continues to provide public vaccination services at sites in Baldwin, Bibb and Peach counties by appointment. Vaccinated individuals and those waiting to be vaccinated are encouraged to continue to practice COVID-safe behaviors including wearing a mask in public, social distancing and frequent hand washing.
