Atrium Health Navicent Increases Minimum Wage

Health system announces fourth increase to minimum wage since September 2020

As part of Atrium Health’s commitment to offering market-competitive compensation and benefits programs, the health provider is investing an additional $12 million into teammate compensation, including an increase to the minimum wage at Atrium Health Navicent.

Beginning Jan. 22, the new minimum wage at Atrium Health Navicent was increased to $14 per hour, nearly double the federally mandated $7.25 per hour. This is the health system’s fourth minimum wage increase since September 2020.

“Our teammates are our most important resource, and it’s important that we offer market-competitive compensation and benefits to attract and retain top talent,” said Atrium Health Navicent President Delvecchio Finley. “By investing in our teammates, we’re also demonstrating our continued commitment to providing excellent health care and contributing to the local economy, which will benefit central and south Georgia, both now, and into the future.”

The new pay rates will be reflected on teammates’ Feb. 10 paychecks.

“Competitive pay and benefits are essential components in ensuring Atrium Health Navicent is positioned to meet the health care needs of today, but also to be prepared for the future,” said Vishal Bhalla, Atrium Health Navicent senior vice president and chief human resources officer, who also serves as Atrium Health’s chief experience officer. “Our investments in minimum wage and market-competitive compensation, career development and other human-centric initiatives demonstrate our commitment to our people and to invest in the region’s economy.

“This is also an example of the economic impact of our strategic combination with Atrium Health and our ability to do more – better, faster and together – now, as part of Advocate Health, the nation’s fifth-largest nonprofit health care provider,” he added.
