Atrium Health Navicent Baldwin Offers Free Lunch n’ Learn Series

Atrium Health Navicent Baldwin is offering the community an opportunity to learn about a variety of important health topics in a series of recurring of Lunch n’ Learn sessions.

The next Lunch n’ Learn will take place at noon Oct. 1 with guest speaker Dr. Tony Scott, director of the Breast Program at Atrium Health Navicent Peyton Anderson Cancer Center. He will speak about what happens when you or a loved one is diagnosed with breast cancer.

“Breast cancer is the second most common cancer among women in the United States,” Scott said. “The best thing that women can do to increase their chances to thrive after diagnosis is to catch it early through a screening mammogram.

Getting regular mammograms can lower the risk of dying from breast cancer. If you’ve been putting off getting a mammogram, let’s talk about why it’s so important during this Lunch n’ Learn session.”

October’s session will be held at Atrium Health Navicent Baldwin, 821 North Cobb St., Milledgeville, in the second floor mezzanine near the elevator. All sessions are free and open to the public. Lunch will be provided.
