Designation recognizes the hospital’s excellence in serving the community through stroke emergency treatment The Georgia Department of Public Health’s Office of EMS and Trauma has designated Atrium Health Navicent Baldwin as a Remote Treatment Stroke Center, recognizing the hospital’s commitment to excellence in stroke care. “Atrium Health Navicent is committed to expanding access to lifesaving care close to home for all central and south Georgia residents, and our visitors,” said Atrium Health Navicent President and CEO Delvecchio Finley. “This designation is recognition of our teammates’ ongoing innovation and drive for excellence as we improve health and wellness, elevate hope and advance healing in each of the communities we serve.” To achieve the Remote Treatment Stroke Center designation, Atrium Health Navicent Baldwin demonstrated that the hospital has implemented evidence-based best practices for caring for stroke patients and submitted data about timely treatment, improvement efforts, processes and policies. After reviewing the submitted materials, the Georgia Department of Public Health’s Office of EMS and Trauma recognized Atrium Health Navicent Baldwin as an integral part of a comprehensive and growing stroke care system throughout the state.

Atrium Health Navicent’s ‘Walk with a Doc’ Program Receives Bike Walk Macon Mobility Maker Business Award

In its third year, Atrium Health Navicent’s “Walk with a Doc” program was recently honored by Bike Walk Macon and recognized with the 2022 Macon Mobility Maker Business Award. “Walk with a Doc” encourages the community to achieve greater health and wellness by participating in regularly scheduled walks led by Atrium Health Navicent doctors in collaboration with our community partners including the MaconBibb County Parks and Recreation Department. First offered in 2019, the free walking program is designed for all fitness levels.

The 18th annual Miracle Treat Day® will benefit Atrium Health Navicent Beverly Knight Olson Children's Hospital, a Children's Miracle Network (CMN) Hospital®. “If you’ve been craving a cool treat to beat the summer heat, order a Blizzard on Thursday to help support the 46,000 children from across Georgia who receive medical treatment at Beverly Knight Olson Children’s Hospital each year,” said Renee Bryan, Children’s Miracle Network coordinator for Atrium Health Navicent Beverly Knight Olson Children's Hospital. “We are thankful for the community’s generosity and local Dairy Queens’ support of Miracle Treat Day each year, as 100 percent of the funds raised throughout central Georgia benefit children treated at our hospital.” At least $1 per Blizzard purchased nationwide on Thursday will be donated to CMN Hospitals.
