Buying a Blizzard® at participating central Georgia Dairy Queens® on Thursday, July 28, will do more than just treat your taste buds. The 18th annual Miracle Treat Day® will benefit Atrium Health Navicent Beverly Knight Olson Children's Hospital, a Children's Miracle Network (CMN) Hospital®. “If you’ve been craving a cool treat to beat the summer heat, order a Blizzard on Thursday to help support the 46,000 children from across Georgia who receive medical treatment at Beverly Knight Olson Children’s Hospital each year,” said Renee Bryan, Children’s Miracle Network coordinator for Atrium Health Navicent Beverly Knight Olson Children's Hospital. “We are thankful for the community’s generosity and local Dairy Queens’ support of Miracle Treat Day each year, as 100 percent of the funds raised throughout central Georgia benefit children treated at our hospital.” At least $1 per Blizzard purchased nationwide on Thursday will be donated to CMN Hospitals.

Hepatitis, an inflammation of the liver, affects 354 million people worldwide and is most often caused by a virus.

Appointments are available at COVIDSafeGa.org Atrium Health Navicent is now offering COVID-19 vaccines for children aged 6 months and older. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommended in June that children aged 6 months through 5 years be vaccinated against COVID-19.
Atrium Health Navicent Peach to Host “Holiday Heroes” Blood Drive

To help meet the need for donated blood, Atrium Health Navicent Peach is hosting a “Holiday Heroes” blood drive in partnership with the American Red Cross on Tuesday, July 5 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Donors are asked to schedule an appointment at RedCrossBlood.org and use the sponsor code “HEROES.” The blood drive will be held in the outpatient waiting area inside the hospital, located at 1960 Highway 247 Connector in Byron. “Hospitals often see higher numbers of injured patients in the days surrounding summer holidays and this event is an opportunity for each of us to be a “hero” in helping to replenish donor blood supplies,” said Atrium Health Navicent Peach CEO Laura Gentry.
