Rehabilitation Hospital, Navicent Health Invites Community to View Art Exhibit

Georgia Artists With Disabilities to Feature Work at Macon Hospital

Rehabilitation Hospital, Atrium Health Navicent (RHNH) cordially invites the community to a reception featuring an exhibit by Georgia Artists With Disabilities.

Date: Thursday, January 25, 2018

Time: 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.

Place: Rehabilitation Hospital, Atrium Health Navicent (3351 Northside Drive, Macon)

The 33rd Annual Georgia Artists With Disabilities exhibit is currently on tour and features 51 pieces from Georgia artists. Featured works include acrylic, oil and water color paintings; pen and ink drawing; photography and pottery. The exhibit will tour throughout the state, with seven stops including Macon.

Local artists featured in the show include Jimmy Maine of Warner Robins, who won Best in Show with his painting "Roster" in 2017, and Ernest (Sonny) Barlett of Fort Valley, who won Honorable Mention for his work "Counting Coup" in 2017.

Georgia Artists with DisAbilities provides mediums through which Georgia artists with disabilities can display their artistic accomplishments in all disciplines of the arts, and to create public awareness of the artistic skills that these artists have developed by overcoming the obstacles of their disability. RHNH is pleased to host this exhibit for the enjoyment of the community.
