December Holiday Celebration for those living with ASD, Developmental Disabilities
Autism Center, Atrium Health Navicent is pleased to host monthly support meetings for families living with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental disorders. Free monthly support and training is offered through Parent Empowerment Program (PEP) Talks.
In place of its regularly scheduled monthly PEP Talk, Autism Center will host a holiday celebration on Tuesday, December 13 at 6:00 p.m. The celebration will take place at Autism Center, Atrium Health Navicent (1014 Forsyth Street, Macon). Parking is available in the Yellow Parking Deck. Families affected by ASD and other developmental disorders, as well as pediatricians, educators and other caregivers, are invited to attend this free event.
"This will be an evening of fun for our families to mix and mingle with each other, as well as past PEP Talk speakers and experts in their field. We ask people to wear festive holiday attire and join us for refreshments and a holiday prize drawing," said Maureen Eckard, Project Manager with Autism Center, Atrium Health Navicent.
PEP Talks are hosted on the second Tuesday of each consecutive month and feature a variety of topics useful for families affected by ASD and other developmental disorders. PEP Talks are free for family members, educators, healthcare professionals and the public, and offer evidence-based information along with tools and tips for families to use at home, school and within the community.
While PEP Talks are free, registration is encouraged. Please contact Autism Center, Atrium Health Navicent at 478-633-8100 or at autism@navicenthealth.org to register.
