Navicent Health Physician Named One of Asias Top Young Leaders

Avinesh Bhar, M.D. - one of the newest physicians to join Atrium Health Navicent Physician Group - has been selected as one of 33 professionals from 24 countries to join the 2016 Class of Asia 21 Young Leaders.

Asia 21 is a network of young leaders representing the public, private and nonprofit sectors chosen through a highly competitive process based on outstanding achievement, commitment to public service and proven ability to "make the world a better place." Dr. Bhar, along with other members of the 2016 Class and select Asia 21 alumni, gathered at the recent Asia 21 Summit, held December 8-10 in Seoul, to share best practices in leadership and public service.

"It's a humbling experience, being in the company of truly exceptional individuals. It is my goal to use this platform to be a disruptive voice in the current healthcare conversation, and move the conversation from one that is healthcare or industry-focused to one that is focused on the individual and his or her health," said Dr. Bhar.

"At Atrium Health Navicent, we pride ourselves on keeping the patient at the center of all we do as we navigate the individual toward health and wellness. Dr. Bhar's vision for care is very much in line with the values of Atrium Health Navicent, and we are privileged to welcome such a bright young mind to our team of expert physicians," said Dr. Ninfa M. Saunders, President and CEO of Atrium Health Navicent.
