Dr. Baralatei was born and raised in Nigeria. She attended the University of Port Harcourt where she obtained a Bachelor of Medical Sciences (Medical Physiology) degree and later an M.B.B.S degree after completing medical school. Dr. Baralatei practiced for several years as a primary care physician with her last assignment as the Personal Physician to the wife of the Bayelsa state governor (served through four regimens). She moved to the USA to join her husband. Subsequently, Dr. Baralatei completed a Residency in Family Medicine and Fellowship in Geriatric Medicine. She is Board Certified in Family Medicine and has CAQs in Geriatric Medicine, Hospice and Palliative Medicine. Her passion is in the care of the Frail Older Adult. Dr. Baralatei has practiced at the Atrium Health Navicent Primary Care West Macon, a Facility of Atrium Health Navicent The Medical Center since graduating in 2008, with responsibilities including outpatient care of the geriatric population, nursing home care, hospital inpatient care and palliative medicine.
