Dr. Rachana Tyagi is the Director of Pediatric Neurosurgery at Atrium Health Navicent. She previously was an Assistant Professor at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Dr. Tyagi attended the University of Michigan Medical School, then completed her neurosurgery residency at Temple University Hospital. She acquired further specialty training in spinal deformity as a fellow at Shriners Hospitals for Children-Philadelphia and in pediatric neurosurgery as a fellow at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. Dr. Tyagi enjoys treating children with a variety of neurosurgical conditions, including brain and spinal cord tumors, epilepsy, spina bifida, tethered cord, craniosynostosis, hydrocephalus, Chiari malformations, spasticity, and brain and spinal trauma. She has a particular interest in minimally invasive surgical techniques to reduce surgical risks as well as speed the recovery of patients. Dr. Tyagi has 5 kids of her own and truly loves working with children.
