Mobile Mammography Coach
Mammograms are essential to the early detection of breast cancer. Our Mobile Mammography outreach program brings advanced services in breast health care to women in Central Georgia and surrounding counties.
The Atrium Heath Navicent Mobile Mammography Coach is an advanced breast imaging system on wheels. It is outfitted with a state-of-the-art, 3D digital machine and staffed by women technologists who are specially trained in screening mammography.
When you arrive for a screening, the experience is similar to a physician’s appointment. Our staff will perform your mammogram in a comfortable and private environment.

Patient FAQs:
The visit should take approximately 15 minutes. The patient will check in with the registration employee on the coach and will then be directed into one of our dressing rooms. The patient would undress from the waist up and remove any deodorant if needed. Wipes/deodorant will be provided to the patient. Results will be sent out no later than 10 days (about 1 and a half weeks) after screening mammogram.
Anyone 40 years old and up, however some insurance companies will pay for a baseline between 35 and 39. The patient will be responsible for checking with their insurance company to find out if they cover a screening mammogram before the age of 40.
We will arrive onsite for pre-registration 4-6 weeks before the mobile comes or have rack cards with a QR code that the patient/employee can scan and register at that time. The information will come straight to a designated fax line for the mobile coach.
The results will be available no later than 10 business days to the patient and to the provider that signed the order.
Everyone should bring their insurance card and photo ID with them at the time of the screening mammogram.

There is no minimum number of participants.
We will adjust our schedule to meet the facility needs. Some companies run 2 to 4 shifts. Our plan is to accommodate the patients/employees.
