John Houser

John Houser is both a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Valuation Analyst who began his career at Arthur Andersen & Co.in 1975. He has multiple work experiences including public accounting at Arthur Andersen & Co. and was a managing partner at Miller Ray Houser & Stewart CPA's in Atlanta and commercial real estate development. After Miller Ray Houser & Stewart in 2007 was sold to Habif Arrogetti & Wynne, he moved to Macon, Georgia to become CEO of Southern Trust Insurance Company, a regional property and casualty carrier. In 2017, he resumed practicing accounting at MCNAIR, MCLEMORE, MIDDLEBROOKS & CO., LLC (MMM) in Macon, Georgia where he serves of counsel in the firm's Litigation, Valuation & Forensic Practice Group (LVF). His experiences in Atlanta and now in Macon have enabled him to concentrate exclusively in the areas of litigation support services, bankruptcy, valuation, management advisory services, forensics, and in various tax areas. As a “G400” firm, MMM is one of the top 400 largest public accounting firms in the United States with a diverse client and practice base in providing professional auditing, accounting, and tax services, as well as non-traditional specialty services.

He graduated with honors from Georgia Tech, served three years in the United States Navy, was awarded the Combat Action Ribbon for his Vietnam service, and received his Master of Public Accounting (MPA) from Georgia State University. He is credentialed as a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) and is an associate member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE).
