We very much appreciate your interest in our residency training program. We are proud to offer our residents comprehensive training in obstetrics and gynecology and all sub-specialties, including Reproductive Endocrinology, Gynecologic Oncology, Maternal-Fetal Medicine, and Urogynecology. Our program offers teaching by full-time academic faculty, as well as a significant experience with private practice clinical faculty giving our residents a “best of both worlds” experience in all aspects of the clinical practice of obstetrics and gynecology. We also offer programs in robotic surgery and the surgical simulation laboratory. Our residents receive a graduated experience over four years with appropriately increasing responsibility leading to outstanding competence in obstetrical and gynecologic practice.
As the primary referral center for Central Georgia, Atrium Health Navicent provides extensive clinical experience to our residents. We serve a diverse patient population and we have an extremely large volume of cases that provide an exhaustive clinical experience covering the depth and breadth of Obstetrics and Gynecology for our residents. With sixteen full-time residents, four residents per level, there is ample opportunity to work with the faculty. The faculty strives to prepare the residents for clinical practice and for academic fellowships.
